Dedicated guidance

Make the process easier to understand.

BigBen Motors can help you discuss your vehicle request and understand the stages involved. We are an independent vehicle-import agent, not a government department or an approval authority.

Eligibility guidance

We can help you identify questions to raise with your employer and the relevant authorities before you make vehicle arrangements.

Vehicle selection support

Talk through the type of vehicle you need, your priorities and the information available for a suitable request.

Document checklist

Understand the kinds of documents an authority may ask for. Requirements vary, so verify the current checklist for your case.

Clear import stages

Get a plain-language overview of vehicle sourcing, shipping, customs, registration and delivery arrangements.

Costs discussed upfront

Discuss the costs that may apply before proceeding. Duties, taxes, fees and estimates depend on current rules and vehicle details.

Direct, personal support

Ask questions as you move through the process and understand which provider or authority handles each stage.

Eligibility

Who may qualify for an import concession?

Government schemes and eligibility criteria can change. Employment in the public sector does not by itself guarantee duty-free status, a rebate or approval. Check your individual eligibility and the active scheme rules with the relevant government office before making a purchase or payment.

Depending on the current programme, public-service roles such as educators, healthcare workers, uniformed services, local-authority staff, parastatal employees or public-institution lecturers may wish to ask whether they qualify.

Common questions

Know what to expect.

Scheme details can change. Confirm the latest information with the authority responsible for your case.

Are all civil servants entitled to import duty-free?

No. Eligibility and any concession depend on current government rules, the scheme and formal approval. Public-sector employment alone does not guarantee duty-free importation.

Can BigBen Motors approve my application?

No. BigBen Motors is an independent vehicle-import agent, not a government body. Eligibility, concessions and approvals are determined by the relevant authorities.

Which documents will I need?

Requirements vary. An authority may request employment confirmation, payslips, identification, tax or residence details, or scheme-specific forms. Confirm the current list directly with the scheme administrator.

Can I choose a vehicle before approval?

You can discuss vehicle preferences with us, but first confirm any scheme rules on vehicle eligibility and timing. Availability, price and import arrangements must also be confirmed separately.

Will you guarantee a faster approval or a duty rebate?

No. Approval outcomes, duty treatment and processing times are outside BigBen Motors’ control. We do not promise a rebate or faster processing.
